Cultural Strategist

Brandon is a long-time champion of social justice and energy system transformation. He spent the summer of 2010 covering the events surrounding the BP oil spill and the social impact that disaster had on local coastal communities. That volunteer documentary work put him face-to-face with the issue of oil dependence and the complex social and economic dynamics of our energy system in less visible coastal areas. He has served as a volunteer for Citizens’ Climate Lobby for 5 years and spends time on Capitol Hill each year lobbying for national legislation to address climate change. Brandon has also served on the board of the Atlanta Community Food Bank for 12 years, and is now leading a new initiative at the ACFB to increase advocacy amongst the organization and its vast network of supporters as the ACFB works to ensure everyone in its service area has access to the nutritious food they need when they need it.
